THE GRASS IS NOT ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE

  • FOMO : FEAR OF MISSING OUT.

It’s a phenomenon characterized by the feeling of anxiety or apprehension that one might miss out on an opportunity or experience, often triggered by seeing others participating in activities or events. FOMO commonly arises in the context of social media, where people may see posts about parties, vacations, or other exciting events, and feel a sense of inadequacy or regret about not being there themselves. It can also occur in various other aspects of life, such as career opportunities, investment decisions, or social gatherings.

FOMO, IS ONE OF THE KILLER MALADIES, TEARING DOWN CONTEMPORARY RELATIONSHIPS AND MAKING LOVERS FALL OUT OF LOVE WITH EACH OTHER. YOU HEAR QUESTIONS LIKE THIS, WHAT IF I DON’T LOVE HIM OR LOVE HER ANYMORE OR ATTRACTED TO HIM OR HER ANY MORE?

injured heart divided by love and hate

the pain of love and hate

These are two statements when put together, which has absolutely nothing to do with each other. People, put them together, thinking they are the same. They are not the same. Your love for your spouse, has absolutely nothing to do with the attraction you have for each other  . You wish, if it were to have something to do with it, but it is not. When people lose certain desire for their spouses, they want to use that as a justification to walk away from their relationship, which is a choice. Some of you, already understand that, love is a choice, it is not a feeling. It has absolutely nothing to do with the way people  feel in relationship. Those, who are bored and fed up, in their relationship, just want to come up with excuses to take the exit door because, they no longer have what is required by love for them to stay, they rather choose to work away to  explore and experience intimacy with new partners. WHAT DOES IT MEAN, WHEN A SPOUSE IS SAYING  I AM NOT IN LOVE ANYMORE AND THE FEELING IS BORING? To rekindle the love in a seemingly boring relationship, it need efforts from both partners. Staying in love, and getting attracted to someone, takes effort and patience. Being in a relationship, for years and leaves when it becomes boring and dry, to start a new different relationship all over again, is insanity. INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP, IS LIKEN TO A MOTHER OF A BABY, WHO THROWS AWAY HER CHILD WITH THE BATH WATER, JUST BECAUSE THE WATER IS TOO HOT FOR HER TO HANDLE. DON’T BE TOO LAZY AS NOT TO WORK ON YOUR RELATIONSHIP, TO AVOID REGRET.

The grass is not always greener out there. The bad boy or bad girl you have as a partner, might just be  better than the nice guy or girl you barely knew out there. Open communication, quality time, Surprise and Variety, physical intimacy, Support each Other’s goals, Maintain independence, Gratitude and appreciation, Work through challenges together, Keep romance alive, Remember the Value of your Relationship. These are, some of the few important tools, you need to help you navigate through some storms in your relationship. Instead of running away from your old relationship, to start a new one, because of  flimsy excuses, build on your old relationship spice it up,  for others to emulate your formula of having a long lasting relationship with the ability to overcome the storms to defeat separation and divorce. Recognize that the grass is not always greener on the other side. Invest in your relationship and appreciate the unique bond you share. By implementing these strategies, partners can nurture their connection, deepen their bond, and keep their relationship fulfilling and exciting over time.
